Appointment of Jean-Louis Roy as President of the Advisory Committee of YULCOM Technologies
MONTREAL, February 21, 2024 – YULCOM Technologies is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jean-Louis Roy as the president of its advisory committee.

An academic, journalist, diplomat, and writer, Jean-Louis Roy has contributed to the establishment and development of numerous institutions. With a Ph.D. in history from McGill University, he also holds a Bachelor’s degree in history from Laval University, another in modern philosophy, and a Master’s degree in medieval philosophy from the University of Montreal. Mr. Roy has held strategic positions such as the director of the Le Devoir daily newspaper, the Quebec delegate general in Paris and to the Francophonie, the secretary-general of the Intergovernmental Agency of the Francophonie (now the International Organization of the Francophonie), the president-CEO of Rights and Democracy, and the president-CEO of the National Library and Archives of Quebec, among others. From 2001 to 2007, he served as the chancellor of the University Sainte-Anne in Pointe-de-l’Église, Nova Scotia. He taught contemporary history and international relations at McGill University, the National School of Administration in Paris, and the Glendon campus of York University in Toronto. He also taught geopolitics in the final cycle of studies at Polytechnique Montreal. Jean-Louis Roy has been a lecturer and visiting professor at the universities of Beijing, Scherchen, Harvard, Lyon, Dakar, Yaoundé, Warsaw, Bucharest, Mexico, Bogota, Tegucigalpa, Tokyo, Calgary, Ouagadougou, Cotonou, Port-au-Prince, Dalhousie, and Sherbrooke.
He has served or currently serves on several boards of directors, including the advisory board on corporate social responsibility at Export Development Canada. Mr. Roy has also lent his expertise to several private sector companies. Furthermore, Jean-Louis Roy has authored numerous works on history, political analysis, and literary creations, many of which have been translated into various languages and distributed worldwide. He holds honorary doctorates from the universities of Moncton (in law), Sainte-Anne de Pointe-de-l’Église (in letters), and Ottawa (in social sciences). He has been decorated by more than 25 countries.
